Children can attend Yorkies from the age of 3 years (term time), during holiday club we take children from 3 years to 7 years 11 months.  Non York Road Nursery children can book holiday clubs from September up to and including summer holidays.

We still have a small number of spaces available for wraparound care for the academic year 2018 to 2019, There is also space in holiday club.

Waiting List

Children can join the waiting list for Yorkies Daycare up to a year in advance. Parents should complete the application form, stating their preferred sessions. Registration does not guarantee you a place although we try to accommodate as many children as possible. Priority is given to children who have Special Educational Needs including those with an Education, Health and Care Plan and Children Looked After. If you no longer need a place at Yorkies we would be grateful if you would let us know so we can remove you from the waiting list

We are currently changing our intake process in line with York Road Nursery please see their website for details. If you require wraparound care over and above your 15 or 30 hours 3 year old provision then a seperate application must be made to us. Currently York Road’s provision for three year olds is 15 hours Monday to Friday AM and PM or 30 hours Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm, term time only.

Application Process

If your child is offered a place at York Road Nursery, you will be contacted by  the Yorkies Administrator for us to confirm whether you still require a place at Yorkies and the actual sessions required. This will be after you have been informed if you have a place offered at York Road Nursery School ( Check school website for timelines). Subject to availability we would then hope to offer your child a place at Yorkies.  In order to secure this place you will be required to pay the first month’s fees whihch are only refundable if you are not offered a space at York Road Nursery. Payment of the first months fees confirm your place at Yorkies and you will be sent a starter pack. You must also have applied to York Road Nursery.
