What Activities are offered at Yorkies?

Yorkies Daycare emphasises the play aspect of childhood. Having spent a morning in Nursery Education, the afternoons are structured to include quiet time and free play as part of the 30 hours provision.

There are a wide variety of activities planned each day e.g.:

  • Creative Activities: painting, drawing, cutting sticking and model making
  • Discussion Time ; an opportunity to develop communication and language skills
  • Exploring with technology
  • Free Play, with activities chosen by the individual child
  • Imaginative Play: dressing-up, role-play
  • Messy Play: jelly, shaving foam, flour and dough
  • Singing & Dancing
  • Physical Activity: climbing, sliding and balancing equipment, developing fine motor skills
  • Story time and DVDs
